Well youngsters get those backpacks ready to go, cause the ole school bell is ringing. I’m sure some of you are excited to go back and then there are some who may not be. Good luck to all of you.

Hopefully this heat will get out of here before long. It did not bother our Women’s Ranch Rodeo on July 31. We had tremendous support from club members and the general public for this new event. Things went very well and the rodeo teams were very complimentary on how well we did for the first time. Huge thanks to everyone who came and helped make our first Women’s Ranch Rodeo a huge success. Due to everybody’s support we were able to take care of the 2nd half of the taxes. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.

Our August 7 fun show had 75 entries. Want to welcome new members Kole & Mike Giacobbi family of Hutchinson and Brandon & Shelly Cole family of Inman. We are very glad to have you.

The next fun show is 8/28. The events are: Lead Line 1-5-Showmanship-Horsemanship-Barrels-Poles-Pony Express. Then 9/4 will be the final fun show for 2010. Events then will be Lead Line- Western Pleasure-Barrels-Texas Roll Back-Western Relay.

It is time to rally the troops again for our next event that will hopefully provide funds for year-end awards and to get us through the winter. September 11th and 12th we will host the Cinch Jr High Rodeo. Everybody knows what we need for that. For anybody new it is concession stand help, admission gate, and some back up arena help. Also baked goods for the concession stand. Once again I want to express the importance of these events because they are the only things that keep the club going. I know that you are probably tired of hearing that but it is important that all members realize it.

Need to remind everybody that when you use the saddle club grounds or after an event the last person leaving PLEASE shut and lock the gate. There have been several times that it has been left open. THANKING YOU IN ADVANCE for you cooperation on this matter.
